Did dinosaurs actually go extinct millions of years ago like we have been told ?

One of the most fascinating things to me is whether we might actually still have more of the “prehistoric” creatures still living than we have been told, or that we know about.
When you look at drawings from caves, and even sculptured onto pottery and buildings, they show creatures that look very much like what we call a dinosaur, and that was supposed to have gone extinct millions of years ago.
There are also photos and videos of sightings of what looks like a pterodactyl, or a similar kind of flying reptile, and they have been seen in many areas of the world, but in remote places where not very many people would ever be around to see such a creature.

It does make you wonder, even though we've had the supposed story very well ingrained into us there are oddities here and there like those petroglyphs.

So I'm not sure. I lean against it, but I can't explain many findings either.

Supposedly "dragons" and such were the result of finding large fossil bones with no way at all to date anything. So it became "a long time ago" but fairly short in geological terms. Like how people think the world is 5000 years old or something.

It is interesting that all of the rest of the creatures on the Chinese calendar are ones that we know as real, except for the dragon. And there are SO many older paintings that show dragons, and they all look like what we now call a dinosaur (which just means terrible lizard ), that I think we did still have some of them for people to see. I think we might still have some, deep in the jungles. There have been reports of it, but of course, nothing that comes out in the sanctioned news.

This is a 12th century carving on the Cambodian temple at Angkor Wat, and it certainly does resemble a stegosaurus. There do not seem to be any other animals from there that might look like this one.
