Cruise ship holiday

I have never been on a cruise ship, but it is something that i would dearly love to be able to do, at least one time in my life. I doubt that it would ever happen, but it is something that I believe i would enjoy a lot.
My daughter went on one that went from Seattle, Washington, up the coast of Canada, and to Alaska, and then back to Seattle again. She sent pictures, and the scenery was awesome as they traveled up the coast, plus she got to do extra things when they stopped at ports along the way. One place they all went whitewater rafting, and at another stop , she was rappelling.
I would not want to do any of that, or even take that cruise. I would like one of the short cruises that goes out to the Bahamas, where it is warm.
This picture is my daughter on her Alaskan cruise, when she was white water rafting, and loving every minute of it.

We went on a cruise to the Bahamas. It was a lovely trip until............

on the way back, the ship ran into a storm at sea. The waves must have ben thirty feet high or deep, whichever. The ship rolled way over to one side, then way over to the other side. Every time it rolled, it would go, "Crrreeeeaaaakkk...grooaann" . I was glad to get back on solid ground. It took several hours for me to get my legs steady. For some reason. I can't talk my sister into going on another cruise.

I wouldn't mind going on a small ship cruise, but I have no desire to go on a cruise on one of those 5,000 passenger goliath ships. I can't get along with one or two people at a time, so trying to get along with thousands wouldn't be fun for me. Besides, the risk of rotavirus or coronavirus is a big flag for me. Remember all those people stranded on the ships when Covid hit?

My band played on a 10 day chartered cruise from San Diego, California to Vancouver, British Columbia, and back, with stops in Seattle, Washington, Astoria, Oregon and San Francisco, California along the way. It was a Princess Cruise Ship, and they liked us, but when they offered another contract, we said no way we would ever do it again, even if the tripled the money.

The one thing we always hated about playing in bars and clubs was having to deal with drunks. There is nothing so annoying as one drunk after another coming up to you between sets, saying things like "Yoush guys are sho good. I wis you play here every night." Fortunately, as soon as the gig is over, you get to leave. But you can't hide from them on a cruise ship, unless you stay in your cabin every second you are not playing. Your only hope is that they won't remember your face.
