Childhood hobbies

Did you have any hobbies when you was a child?

My hobby was fixing and playing on bicycles, mountain bikes.

As a young boy, an interest in collecting rocks was sparked by a Christmas gift. I could scratch a rock to test for hardness and submerge a rock in in water to find its specific gravity. It only proves that a good hobby is only a "stone's throw" away!

A hobby implies you continue on with it for some time. The only thing I can think of that I kept up with as a child was playing the piano and daily crossword puzzles from the newspaper. There were some toys I kept up with which had a common theme---building things, like Lincoln logs, square logs, plastic bricks, erector sets, cardboard boxes.
