Good morning, lovely people. The sun is shining and all is well in my world for now and I hope it is the same in yours. However, we have high wind warnings for later today so we may be dodging a few things later on, things like tree limbs, falling fences, flying trampolines and disappearing trash cans. In my neighborhood it will be a good afternoon to tie down the dog and hold onto your small children and your hat.

In the wider world there are a few things going on that might or might not be of interest here. I’ll only mention two. Our astronauts, who have been stranded on the space station for 286 days, are right now on their way home via a SpaceX Crew Dragon capsule, with splash down expected later this afternoon.

The second I will mention has to do with the release of the complete Kennedy assassination files from 61 years ago. If anyone is interested are you expecting any revelations of note?

Hi Susanna I'm just responding to your post. I'm also thrilled that the astronauts are finally coming home!

As far as the Kennedy files I'm not really expecting a Big revelation of note. I do wonder though in the end, was it the Mafia or the Russians.

Another thing that disturbed me this morning was learning that the Israeli Gaza war is back on and that the truce failed. It's really a shame but let's hope for peace.
 
It is a beautiful day and also thankful that the astronauts are going to be splashing down soon. After all that time in zero gravity, it will take 2 to 3 months before they regain their full balance. How the inner ear senses gravity, is such an interesting study.
 
They just splashed down successfully, right on time! There’s TV coverage. There are safety checks to do and then the astronauts come out. It’s good to see success.

SallyForth, I like your user name. It’s very clever. I was disappointed that things haven’t worked out better in the Middle East too but not really surprised.

Faye, I think the two astronauts that were up in space so long aren’t feeling very good about now but they must be very happy to be back.
 
Still dark and drinking 2nd cup coffee while I await dawn so I can go for my 3 mile walk. I haven't written a to do list for today, so I may just wing today freestyle. I can't lament about what I forgot to do tomorrow. :)
 
I'm wondering about the location of members. Not the exact location but a general location. Like, I'm in North Carolina. It would help me categorize y'all.
