Does your site have a chat box?

I was thinking of adding a chatbox to DiscussionHQ but I think it will take away users posting a lot more.

No, my site doesn’t have a chat bot. I don’t have any plans to implement one as I’m not a fan of them.

I also believe that they do in fact take away activity from the forums. It was a good feature to have in the early days of forums, but not anymore.

Nope. I used to have one, but that was temporary while I was working on my forum.

I disabled the "Shoutbox" option on my forum as well.

I just think that it kind of defeats the purpose of having a forum in the first place.
