Trying this out for the first time. Ask me questions, and if I know the answer, or even if I don’t know the answer, I will respond.

I have had horses almost all of my life , up until I married Bobby and we moved here to Alabama, @Marie Mallory . My first horse was a Welsh Pony named Dandy, and my folks got him for me when I was 10.
I always loved Arabians, and most of my horses were Arabs, or part-Arabian, and my kids grow up living in the country and riding their ponies around the pasture and trail rides into the Idaho mountains.

Eventually, I wanted something easier to ride, and tried Tennessee Walking Horses, and other gaited horses, and my favorite is the Peruvian Paso, which is the smoothest riding horse I have ever ridden.
I did have one mule, and for trail riding, there is nothing better than a mule, he could go anywhere, and nothing spooked that mule, like happens with a horse.
This is me with Dandy and our little dog , Sugar, who loved to go along when I went horseback riding. She would sometimes run along beside me, and then rode behind me on the saddle when she got tired.

Looks like you had a wonderful childhood, Mama wouldn't let us have horses, like I wanted. I thought of getting a horse from the shelter, but feel we are not able to properly care for it.
I bet you could really ride.

Favorite sugar drink? :)
I do not really drink much of anything with sugar in it, if you mean something like pop(soda). I do drink hot coffee and hot tea, and sometimes use a sweetener in those. I guess my favorite drink with sugar would be a milkshake, which I might indulge in once or twice a year, at best.

How many kids do you have?
Actually, my kids are all old enough to be seniors now, so they do not really count as kids any more, except to me, I guess. Anyway, I have three children, two boys and a girl.
My oldest son lives in north Idaho on the property where I lived when I was in Idaho. It is an old homestead that my mom and dad lived on back in the 30’s and 40’s, and went through the Great Depression and WW2 living there. The old homestead has been gone for years now, but at one time was a stagecoach stop.
My middle son lives in Eastern Washington, and my daughter actually lives here in Huntsville, but has been living and working in the Netherlands for the last several years.
We lived in both Idaho and Washington when the kids were growing up, and moved around a lot during that time. This picture is the three of them together.

BTW, a really sweet picture of your children.

You probably told me this already, but after living in the stunning Pacific Northwest, why did you move to Alabama?
Thank you for asking, @Axel Slingerland .
It is certainly something I never would have imagined myself doing. When I ended up living in my little trailer house in North Idaho, it was on the same piece of property where my folks lived when i was born, and I felt like it was where my heart wanted to live the rest of my life.
But, life had different plans.

I met Bobby , we got married and he had a job with the Boise Rescue Mission, so we moved to Boise , in southern Idaho. Then, I started having the really bad heart problems, and my daughter, who lives here in Huntsville, asked us to move out closer to her, and said that there were really good doctors here, too.
So, we sold everything, bought an old motorhome, loaded up what we had to bring, and my 6 little dogs, and caravanned out here to Alabama.

I still miss living out west, and if I could, I would love to live out on the west coast of either Oregon or Washington, somewhere around Astoria. I miss being able to go to the ocean like I could do when I lived out there before, and I miss seeing the mountains, especially the big volcanoes.

I do not miss all the snow I had to shovel in north Idaho !
I have definitely had all of the cold and snow I want to deal with, but the rest of the year is nice, and not all the humidity (and BUGS !) that live here in the South.
This is looking down the driveway (you can’t even see the main road for all the snow) of my home in Idaho. My oldest son lives there now.
