Ask Joe Riley

Sounds good Joe, I too, always liked history. We are watching this true story tonight.

Here's a desert Island story for you......

A man is stranded alone on a deserted island for years. One day, he’s finally rescued. As the rescuers come ashore, they notice three huts on the beach.

Curious, one of them asks, “You were here all alone, right? So why are there three huts?”

The man says, “Yep, just me. The first hut is my house.”
“What about the second one?”

“That’s my church,” he replies.
“And the third?”

“Oh,” the man says, rolling his eyes, “that’s the church I used to go to.”

Your Video sounds interesting! Here's a synopsis:
⛵
Abandoned - In 1989 the trimaran Rose Noelle set sail from Picton, New Zealand, bound for Tonga with four crew. After a freak wave capsized the yacht, they drifted for 119 days before landing on Great Barrier Island.

Did you ever ride on a funicular railway?.. PHOTO
I did! I started my career with a Pittsburgh Utility, as a meter reader. went around in a car. My book one day was for Mt Washington, an area up on one of the hills, overlooking the Golden Triangle. Many commuters used the Duquesne Incline for their daily commutes. On this particular day I was one of them. It was my only opportunity to indulge a bit, and the ride was uneventful. Thanks for the question, @Nancy Hart!

My Dad was a City Fireman, and there was a time when they were called to help people evacuate a stuck incline car on foot, back down the track. Pittsburgh at one time had 32 inclines spread around on it's many Hills. In it's day, it was a
godsend to folks who had to walk. There is an Observation Deck at the top.
