Ask Joe Riley

Only once, twenty years or so ago. It looked like a small black bear on a hill, in a field across the road. At first it looked like a big dog.
I finally gave up hopes of ever seeing one here. :( They have a couple bears in the local zoo, but it's just not the same. If I were out in the woods alone and encountered one, it might be scary, unless it was going in the opposite direction.

How are you feeling today? @Joe Riley
Each new day requires it's own welcome mat! I woke up 5 minutes before the alarm this morning. I have no aches or pains, and feel that sunny days are ahead! I am dealing with the "nuts & bolts" of life, and God is always a step or two ahead of us. My complaints are small and life is chugging along nicely. Thanks for asking @Smithy!

Do you like gardening?
@Nancy Hart asked me that question (see Post #2) and my answer is in Post #3). We did, many years back, when we were younger with 4 children. It remains distant memory. We tolerate the outdoor chores, for the most part. Thanks for asking, Smithy!

Have you ever been on an aeroplane?
Your question is a bit of a "head scratcher".... Skipping over the airplane/aeroplane "speed bump", I know for certain that I flew in a DC3 Prop airliner when I left Fort Knox Ky to get to my next assignment at Fort Dix NJ, via Maguire AF Base, in 1964. However I have no memories of the details of the flight itself. Looking back, I do recall that I felt like Sky King. Thanks @Smithy for asking!✈️

:D
Both are correct, but they are used in different regions.
  • Airplane is the standard spelling in American and Canadian English.
  • Aeroplane is the standard spelling in British and Commonwealth English (such as in the UK, Australia, and India)
What are your plans for today? :)
