Are we now at de facto war with the EU too?

The EUs attempt to attack Elon Musk and X has so upset Trump that he, via Marco Rubio, has declared anyone involved in the censoring of free speech in Europe to be Persona Non Grata in the U.S. All visa applications for entrance to the U.S. from Europe will require background checks and anyone who has in any way had a role in attacking the free exercise of political and religious speech will be prevented from entering the U.S. He may have even called for the dissolution of the EU as has Elon Musk. they want Germany, France, Italy, Austria and Spain particularly, to become independent countries again or go back to the Common Market concept that allowed free trade but not political union. I guess it is something of a call for regime change in Europe. How will that all work out?

I suspect that the veneer that covers who is running the EU and UK is beginning to wear thin. You can see it in how they are treating their people and faking, postponing, jiggering elections. Even committing energy-suicide through policies and ongoing wars with sources of supply. I heard they even want to put bans and taxes on wood stoves, justifying it based on pollution.

Of course their tentacles extend here. I was in the car today and tuning around stopped on an NPR station. Rather than promoting an end to war they suggest that the Russian people just aren't feeling enough pain personally yet. They advocate blowing up gas, oil, and electrical infrastructure so they suffer this Winter.

Ukraine took out a Russian apartment complex a couple days ago, and I didn't hear anything on the news about it. You hear the "Russians are attacking civilians" all the time, but the Ukrainians were the ones who first targeted civilian targets. Now Ukraine is targeting oil tankers in the territorial waters of other nations. that will definitely come back to haunt them. The took out a tanker that was not flagged Russian and was not crewed by Russians, but Ukraine claimed it carried Russian oil, so the blew it up in the Bosporus, a strait owned by Turkey. The oil fouled Turkish beaches and port cities. Turkey is a non-combatant but may become one now against Ukraine. If Turkey closes the Bosporus and the Dardanelles to Ukrainian shipping, Ukraine will never be able to return to nation-state status, as they will have no ports and no outlet for their products. The world at large knew/knows that Ukraine cannot win the war unless NATO directly engages Russia, which would be a catastrophe for Europe.

Now it appears that Europe is threatening economic war against the U.S. in part for the tech threats, but also because the U.S. and Japan are blocking the Europeans from confiscating the frozen assets of Russian citizens and giving those assets to Ukraine (which would be a declaration of war against Russia). Europe is threatening to dump all the U.S. and Japanese bonds they hold to crash the markets, and the U.S. is threatening to withdrawn all U.S. military assets from Europe and probably withdraw from NATO. Can you imagine the Europeans and the British taking on Russia without U.S. help? Europe couldn't take on Libya without U.S. help when Obama threatened to withhold U.S. assets from the attack on Gaddafi/Khadafy.
