Apple or Android?

I've always used Android, easy to use.
Samsung phones are reliable and fairly cheap.

My whole family uses Apple, so it makes it super easy for us to share iMessages, FaceTime, and shared photo albums. My daughter is in the Netherlands, and with FaceTime, we can have free phone calls and video calls as much as we want and it does not use up any cell minutes.
FaceTime is now integrating with Apple TV , so when a whole group wants to video chat on FaceTime, they can do it on the tv screen , assuming they have the Apple TV app.

I love the safety of my apple devices, too !
We do not have to have all of the virus protection that i used to have to have with my Microsoft computers. I do not even use an actual computer now, and have not had one (or a regular camera) for over 15 years, since I started using an iPad.
My phone has an awesome camera, and it goes places with me, so I have not needed an actual camera , for any of the pictures that i want to take, anyway.

I also have my Apple Watch, which syncs with the iPhone, and keeps all of my health information up to date, and even my blood pressure meter syncs with the iPhone.
It makes it easy for me to show my doctor any information about my health that he asks for, plus tracks my steps, swimming, and other activity for me, and I can share it all with my family.

Yes, you do. The story that Apple stuff doesn't get hacked is a myth. Yes, they have stronger security than IBM Clones, but to hack any computer all you need is software for that type of system. They are not invulnerable, but don't get attacked as much because it isn't "cost effective" to do so. Hacking in a time consuming process, and thus you want to get the most bang for your buck. While Apple products are somewhat unique, all computers that go online are required to communicate in the same way so everything functions in a standardized way. You are just as vulnerable as anyone else to hacks when you're online.

Again, yes you do because technically, PCs, Cell Phones, Tablets, iPads, etc., are all computers. My old Tech Guru told me there are two rules you simple can not defeat about computers. The second one is dependent on the first. If it has some sort of storage capability, aka a hard drive, it must have some kind of processor, aka a CPU, to control it, it's a computer. And if you can go online with it, it's vulnerable to hackers. I had a guy tell me that was wrong and I just laughed and said "Ok, prove it." He couldn't do it. Since he told me that back in 1990, 35 years ago, nobody has ever been able to prove him wrong.

And I was getting paid to learn from him. He was my Boss at Newgen Service Systems in Hayward, California.

Anyway, it's easy to verify. Just look it up.

It is a personal bias against Apple that started long ago, and is probably not logical now. I admit it.

My first serious experience with PCs was programming in shell script in MS-DOS and linked with an IBM mainframe at work. I don't think this was possible on the first Mac PCs produced by Apple. They were touted as being user friendly. To me it felt like a control thing. "I'm going to make this easy for you, but you will give up some things and do it my way, and use only my products." Not to mention they were more expensive.

When cell phones came out, the same thing. Apple products were touted as user friendly. First cell phone was Android. I never changed.
