Affordable Care Act

The Affordable Care Act is not illegal, and republicans have no plan at all. Trump's losses keep on rolling in:

Federal judge orders Trump administration to fully fund SNAP benefits in November

What does SNAP have to do with ACA or any other welfare program?

We're already seeing how widespread the abuses are. When Dems shut down the government the rats started coming out o0f the woodwork.

It is really bad that the truly needy suffer when the scammers take their undeserved share. These programs could have a lot more sympathetic reputation if it wasn't for the high levels of graft and abuse in the system. But I'm not sure who these pissant courts think they are. Their "decisions" generally end up being tossed out for lack of jurisdiction anyway. But we're getting used to lawfare as an insurrection tactic by a political machine with no other power after being kicked to the curb by voters so hard.

Trump is fine with funding SNAP, but it is clearly illegal to fund it from the emergency funds, so he asked for clarification as to how that was to be done since it is an illegal judicial order and Congress "trumps" anything enacted from a judge's bench. Not a loss for Trump at all, but we'll see what the judge recommends as to how it is to be done. If we get a hurricane landfall or tornado/earthquake during the shutdown, I guess the judge who ordered that the disaster funds be spent can pay out of her own pocket.

SNAP and the ACA are both programs impacted by the republican shutdown. Same with air travel being affected, non-payment of workers, etc.
