I'm curious ... Does the post come across as complaining about this, like in wishing it was over and done with? On the contrary, it's one of those things that makes me want to pull all-nighters, just to see what happens next. But that's just me. Unfortunately, I'm not a very good writer.

    Board games

When we were kids, my girlfriend and I used to play Monopoly games that lasted for hours, sometimes into the next day. Neither of us had the killer instinct. When I played with my cousin, the game would be over in 30 minutes. She always won. :(

There are projects that require experience in order to be successful. There are some that also require talent or certain physical attributes. Then there are those that just take perseverance. I love this 3rd kind, because I have no talent or experience, and plenty of perseverance and patience...

This was interesting. The link does not work for me, but I looked up the picture and the story. I don't blame Churchill for hating it. It was probably a fairly accurate resemblance at the time, just not a very good pose.

Back in March another power outage caused both my new and old desktops to shut down. When I finally turned the old one back on it was running very slowly, for example---one hour just to restart. The Settings Menu in Win 10 didn't work at all. This kept bothering me, because the old pc never...

(click to enlarge) (If you don't have an Epson Printer, this may not make sense.) Every year at tax time, I have to buy new printer ink. I hardly use the printer, but like to keep a paper copy of tax returns in case I have to discuss it with someone (which used to be quite often). Pull out a...

    Bird Watching

I know this isn't what you typically called bird-watching, but I watch birds from my own back yard in town. Put up a feeder. Practically lived out there on the deck during the day the first year---partly to keep the squirrels away. Saw a lot of different birds that way. There are more birds...

    Perfectly Frank -The HQ Collection

Thanks, @Tony Page. That was interesting. Frank Sinatra's son was kidnapped in 1963. It didn't make the news much, because it was right after the JFK assassination. Apparently the song was re-recorded just after that.

I finally gave up hopes of ever seeing one here. :( They have a couple bears in the local zoo, but it's just not the same. If I were out in the woods alone and encountered one, it might be scary, unless it was going in the opposite direction.
