    Iran War 2026

What do folks in the UK think of General Richard Shirreff? I had never heard of him before. He was a former NATO Deputy Supreme Allied Commander Europe. He has an idea on how we can end this war with Iran. It won't happen, but it's a good plan, imo.

What are you listening to right now?

Everytime You Go Away (yes, everytime is one word) Paul Young recorded this song in 1985 and it became a #1 hit. I don't dislike the song, or Young's version, but it's not my cup of tea. It seems plodding and repetitive. The song doesn't have enough words and syllables in the lyrics so the...

That's the Way It Crumbles, Cookie-Wise

It's been a family affair this morning. Five bluebirds flying around all over the back yard---Mom & Dad, and the triplets from the first batch. The bird house appears to be empty. M&D are carrying seeds into the poplar tree. The triplets are only providing moral support, as far as I can tell...

Late this afternoon a baby bluebird was poking its head through the opening of the birdhouse. That would normally mean they are ready to take off. Heavy rain predicted tomorrow afternoon. :(

    Last thing you ate

Tried Stouffer's frozen stuffed green peppers. Surprisingly not too bad, if you change everything about the way they recommend cooking it and drain off a ton of extra tomato sauce. Too soupy.

    What's bothering you right now?

A loaf of bread. I've had eggs with double yolks, but not a sack of double bread. Not really bothering me. It actually tastes better. Not so fluffy. Must have been the end of a batch, beginning of a new one?

The new hard drive was supposed to be delivered by 9:00 pm Tuesday. At 3pm I checked UPS tracking and it said it was delivered at 2:19 pm. No package. No photo. Most of the folks in the neighborhood have either moved out for good, left for the summer, or are on break before...

How many times does it ring if you don't pick up? More important, what do you use to find your handset when you forget where you took it? :)

I missed this, Mary. We were posting at the same time. Prior to fiber, I had DSL. It used the old copper phone lines. Always going down, and AT&T was slow to repair on purpose I think to try and get everyone to ditch the land lines. Fiber here is strung up on poles also. This is the first...
