What video are you watching on YouTube?

Came across this one randomly. It seems to reflect things many are feeling.

    PV Window Box

A lot less activity in Winter, of course. Short days, low Sun angles, and cloud cover pretty solid most of the time. However I did have an event with my Bluetti Elite 100 V2 unit. Somehow or other I bricked the thing a couple of weeks ago and feared I might have to deal with the shipping for...

Are we going to war with Venezuela?

Perhaps less obviously, Canada may be next. Eight and 1/2 minutes: How Canada’s Only Leverage Over America Disappeared One Night in Venezuela

    Warren Buffett On Retirement

Yes. People have already proven that as a herd most of us will "do the wrong thing" given the slightest pressure. It's almost like they can just never grow up. The other side of this coin may be to get out of any bank stocks if you have them. We may well be "cruisin' for a bruisin"...

    What's your Weather like today

Snow was all gone again for the second time this Winter. Colling down now though, and we got a small amount of wet stuff. Not enough to shovel, though enough to probably be worth cleaning car windows in case it does freeze out there over night.

    How's your day been today

I've had a look at the summary report now, and it's not too bad. This was really a recheck after 2 years since the last one. When I get in for the Cardiologist appt. I'll hear what he thinks about it. This testing wasn't brought on by any specific "event" or anything.

    How's your day been today

The scan was cardiac. I'll make an appointment to go over that on Monday, but yeah I can probably peek at the results online before then. I should have options one way or another for glasses but I'll be getting looked at first.

    How's your day been today

I've been dreading it, but I got in for a CT scan with contrast dye IV on Friday. Part of the dread comes from the awkwardness of the procedure given a loss of back/spine flexibility. But there is also the drive through heavy traffic with vision that is letting me down. And of course the usual...

    Ancient Americas

I doubt such long-term isolation was volitional. It seems more likely to me that something forced or enticed migration, then something came along to produce long-term isolation. Australia comes to mind. Asian migration into the Americas might have preceded a technological fall cutting of travel...

Why does Trump want to take over Greenland - and could he actually do it?

I think that it's more about uniting the hemisphere for defense, resources, and trade than an actual annexation of Greenland.

    Ancient Americas

I often wonder if there were prior civilizations, perhaps at times global, deep in prehistory. There might well have been some "fall of man" event that beat most populations back to pre-agricultural life. Geological processes can erase an awful lot of human works given enough time and huge...

    Ancient Americas

Who mined out the copper? And where did it all go? We’ve Found Something Strange in Prehistoric America New studies indicate that "Otzi the Iceman" had a copper axehead that may have come from Lake Superior.

    Ancient Americas

There is an awful lot of controversy around the routes, dating, and patterns of settlement of the Americas. Orthodoxy insists on a narrative of Asiatic inflow through a "Beringian" land bridge joining Alaska to Asia during intervals of lowered sea levels. Movement beyond that came later, and...

Riots starting in Minnesota today !

Criminals bent on interfering with law enforcement need to be identified, picked up, and prosecuted. If local cops were doing their jobs such confrontations would be far less frequent. That's the real lesson here. What we really need is probably mental health facilities that specialize in...
