Bad: Yesterday, watched for the first time, and last time, a movie called Legion (2010) on tv. It was Christian based, but very, very scary. The plot: God got fed up with humanity, for whatever reason/reasons, and sent Archangel Gabriel and whomever (of which I didn't understand their description) to earth to kill an unborn baby that was suppose to save mankind. God also sent Archangel Michael, but Michael wanted to save mankind, not destroy it. So, basically, he disobeyed God's order. Somehow Michael also removed his Angel wings to be able to fit in better. The movie was classified as both "Christian" and horror, of which "horror" was definitely in it. IOW, a supernatural-Horror Fantasy Action Suspense Thriller. Michael was played by Paul Bettany who was also in The Tourist. Gabriel was played by Kevin Durand who was one of the bikers in Wild Hogs.

Bad: Another scary one is 2014 Left Behind w/Nicholas Cage as an airline pilot. We have the DVD, but very seldom will watch it. This movie is classified as a Christian Apocalyptic Thriller film. Within this movie, there are those on both the airline and on the ground that come up missing, with some leaving their clothes behind. These people are professed Christians that God is saving from "the end of the world". The end of the movie is terrifying being that it shows a city completely on fire. "Buck" a Reporter that Chloe, who is Cage's daughter in the movie, meets at the airport her father (Nicolas Cage) flew out of says, "It looks like the end of the world" and Chloe replies, "This is only the beginning!"

Good-to Excellent (and we have these on DVD): The Shack, Risen, God's Not Dead, The Ride and a few others.

Have you watched Chosen @Cody Fousnaugh ? It is pretty accurate as far as Biblical narratives go and has been reviewed by Jewish scholars as well several Christian scholars of various denominations.
