Minnesota Legislators and Spouses Shot

Although the shootings have been called politically motivated, a manifesto and list has been found in the shooter's vehicle. Perhaps another of those cases where one claims life is sacred and then goes on a killing spree.
There were almost 70 names in the manifesto, including abortion providers, pro-abortion rights advocates, and lawmakers in various states, CNN reported. Law enforcement also allegedly found a Father's Day card addressed to the suspect alongside a bag of ammunition.

The suspect is a person who was appointed by Gov. Tim Walz of Minnesota, and his wife also worked for Walz. He is a CEO of the Red Lion NGO, and apparently was able to get the police uniform and vehicle with that connection. He wore a mask at the doors when he went to the houses posing as a police officer, and when he was stopped by the real police, he fired at them and escaped through the house.
He has the radical “No Kings” pamphlets in his vehicle when it was taken away by the police, and had apparently planned on attacking even more people if they had not found him when he shot Rep. Hortman , her husband, and even killed the family dog.
This is from the FBI most wanted government page on X.

Early reporting seemed quick to paint a straightforward picture of an out of control "right wing extremist." As more of the story comes out things appear far more complex than that, perhaps even exactly the opposite.

What an unfortunate situation. We can't have more of this.

Since this guy and his wife have both been closely associated with Gov. Walz for well over 10 years now, he is getting a lot of flak about this shooting.
The members of the state congress who were shot both voted for removing the illegals in the state, and they were the only democratic ones who voted that way, so it is thought that their own people had them removed as an example to always vote how they are told to vote on issues.
The lady who was murdered had made a statement to the press the day before she was killed, expressing that she was afraid , and concerned about her safety; but I do not think that she expected someone to come to her house that night and kill her.

As far as I have heard, they do not know where the shooter disappeared to, but I think that he will probably be dead when they find him.

Just started reading news this morning, but a whole lot of conflicting information, and difference in the pictures of Vince Boelter. Even looking at the several pictures in the FBI flyer, he looks different in several of the pictures.
Most of the recent pictures of Boelter show him as a heavyset person, and not at all like the pictures of him from the security cam at the door, even if we assume that he was wearing a facemask.
He is a much heavier person, like the last picture of him (in the cowboy hat) shows.

He is married and has a very nice home, but was said to have been living in some small house with a guy who works at Papa John/s Pizza, who is now claiming that Boelter was a Trump supporter, even though he has close ties with Tim Walz, and has had them for many years.
So, it is being speculated that the person at the door who did the shooting was not even Boelter, and he is being blamed for it.

I think that the reason they thought it was him was because they have the vehicle that was at the house of the lawmaker who was shot and killed, and then they found some kind of manifesto in the car (supposedly), with names of other people he was after.
So far, most of this is not making much sense, at least from the puzzle pieces we have thus far.

As much planning as appears to have gone into this, all the info could be contrived. The vehicle left behind had "No More Kings" fliers along with an alleged hit list that contained non-political people and abortion providers. Since the vehicle was registered to the suspect, the perpetrator could have been one or more of his employees. The "accused" may not even be still alive. Any who have read any of the John Sandford books , fictional crime set in Minnesota, can see how law enforcement can be easily misled by clever criminals.

At around 10:00 a.m. local time on Saturday, June 14, police located Jenny Boelter in a car with three other relatives during a traffic stop at a convenience store in Onamia, Minn., A weapon, ammunition, cash and passports were allegedly found in the vehicle. Public records show Boelter was previously registered as a Republican in Oklahoma.

It is sort of like watching one of those crime shows on TV except in real time as it plays out.

Boelter has apparently written a letter to the FBI, which is described as “rambling” and is a page and a half long. He says that Tim Walz hired him for the killings. It will be interesting to see where this goes…….

It came from the Minnesota paper. I can see it there, but you have to pay to read it, so i didn’t post the link to the newspaper. I think he probably did write the letter, but who knows if it is true, or why he wrote it, since he had been one of Walz’ people for a lot of years.
I just tried it again, and this time it let me open the page, so here is the link to the newspaper article.

"Funny" how relatively quiet such a high-profile case quickly became. Most of what I see now just emphasizes that he was some kind of "arch-conservative religious doomsday prepper."

If so, why is it he was connected to Walz? Something doesn't seem to fit.

It seems like nothing in this whole case is making any sense, and every new thing changes the whole story, which has been weird right from the beginning.
He and his wife have both worked in Minnesota government for years, and for Walz for the last few years. He has an expensive home, a wife, and 4-5 kids, yet they say he was working at a pizza place (some say it was a convenience store), and living with an unkempt pizza delivery guy in some little house they rented together.
In pictures, he looks at least 50 lbs heavier than the door cam photo with the mask. And why wear a mask that looks like himself anyway ?

Police reports now say that they were at Hortman house when he went there and shot her, which seems pretty impossible, and why would the door cam just show one shooter at the door and not someone being shot at by police.
Despite the fact that he works in the government for Walz, the “roommate” says he is a loyal supporter of Trump, and cries fake tears when reading the supposed text that Hoertner sent him. (Why would he send the text to the roommate and not his wife and family, if he was apologizing for what he had done ?)

Then, he somehow (with no vehicle or help) eludes police for days, but he is spotted near his house and wandering around in an open field, and that is how they catch him.
He is back to his usual weight when they catch him, too.
In spite of him having a list of people to kill, they charge him with 2nd degree murder and attempted murder, not pre-meditated murder. Once he is in jail, he writes a letter to the FBI saying that Walz wanted him to kill Sen. Klobachar, so he could appoint himself to her position. (There is already a position open if Walz wanted to do that)

Then, there is a break-in at the Hortman house, which is now completely boarded up in the pictures. As far as the religious part, there are videos of him in Africa preaching for some NGO that he was part of, so that may have been part of a money scheme, too. There is no evidence that I have read anywhere about him being any kind of a doomsday prepper, either.
Since Hortman was the person who voted against welfare benefits for illegals, it only makes sense that he would target her if he was against that, or working for someone who was against it; definitely not a Trump supporter.
