I have been enjoying the videos and photos of President Trump and the trip he is making to the MidEast. Those people sure know how to welcome someone in royal style !
Arabian horses, fighter jet escorts, bright red Cybertrucks, sword dancing, and beautiful carpets, and to top it off, even men on camels……… it has been incredible to watch all of this.

When President Trump landed in Saudi Arabia, instead of the traditional red carpet, they had a purple one, and purple has always been considered the color of royalty. Trump must know what color to expect, because he was wearing a lavender necktie that went perfectly with the purple carpets.

He has been visiting the leaders of these countries , and also negotiating good deals for peace, and it is making a lot of people really happy to see this happen. After all the presidents who tried to control everything with wars and fighting, it is great to be having a president who is working so hard to help bring peace in the whole world.

It's a Multi-Million Dollar Vacation, and taxpayers are footing the bill. Doesn't that bother you at all?
Not at all ! If it helps us achieve peace in the world, he can travel as much as he needs to, in my opinion.
Also, he has been making some great deals that will give our American economy a huge boost up, and that is great, too. Just with the Boeing Company aircraft deal, we will be putting a lot of people to work making the planes and get them ready to sell to Qatar.

We will be hosting the World Cup next year, and that will bring travelers in to be part of that and also as observers, and this is only a little bit of what our president has accomplished in the last couple of days.
He also made impressive business deals with the Saudi’s, helped strengthen our relationships with several of the Middle East countries, and will maybe be meeting with President Putin and Zelenskyy about the war in Ukraine and establishing a peace deal there, too.

Those Dem congress people going to Ecuador and other places to "meet" with the criminals had "vacations" financed by the taxpayers as well, and those trips accomplished nothing. The Middle East trip by Trump et al. has produced immense investment promises from those countries and has strengthened the relationship with the Saudis and others in the region, and is moving them away form Chinese influence. The Biden Administration's neglect of the region had China moving in with economic proposals galore to move them away from the U.S. and the West as evidenced by the BRICS memberships and other moves. Trump also met with the new "President/PM" of Syria and removed sanctions on that nation that had been in place for 40+ years pending a change in behavior. I suspect he is also currying favor among the Arabs pending Israel's possible new incursion into Gaza, and has pulled Saudi Arabia into the U.S. alliance against Iranian nuclear development. There is a lot to repair after four years of terrible American diplomacy.

The U.S. also now has a Federal budget surplus for the first quarter. When did that last happen?

Yvonne, I’ve been a lot busier than usual but I've been able to watch some of it. I can’t think of another time like this one.

I missed the camels and fighter planes but I did get a glimpse of the Arabian horses and some endless receiving lines. These leaders are so rich and it hurts to think how poor some of their people are.

I am most interested in the deals to bring big money and jobs into the US. If something isn’t done to make our country prosperous again and get us out of debt we are unlikely to be around for many more generations.

I remember that someone a couple of decades ago said peace in the Middle East would not come through war but could only be made through business. People have to have something to lose before they will change. These deals offer the more civilized ME leaders status and peace. I think those civilized leaders are going to force the uncivilized ones to change. I suppose my biggest doubt is the Syrian leader but I don’t trust the others either.

On the other hand the Book predicts there will be no peace. However, I admire a person who tries to make peace and help our own country. What Trump is doing is not easy and it’s not easy for those people working for him either. It is not a vacation.

"Blessed are the Peacemakers...."

Well said. :)

President Trump said something that I totally agree with and have been saying for years. It was about nation building.

You can't impose democracy on a country. You can't impose peace between two countries. Those countries have been governed the same way for centuries. We are not about to change that. So, as long as they don't pose a threat to us, let them govern themselves the way they choose. It's not our place to police the world.

Look at the money and lives we spent in Afghanistan. All wasted. The moment our troops left, it was back to business as usual.

I mentioned that one of the things they had were men performing the Sword Dance, but i just found another video that shows them dancing to the YMCA music. I am posting the link, and hope it works.

I really don’t like the offer of a free airplane. That’s not who we are. We give, we don’t take.

It’s great that Trump got that big deal for Boeing except that they have turned into such a crap company.I wonder if they can fill the contract. They can’t get Air Force 1 finished or maybe they just don’t want to. We need more aircraft manufacturers, IMO.

I do not see any good reason not to take the airplane, actually. Our AF1, AF2 are both very old planes, and this one would be much newer and also safer. Once they have added the necessary changes to make it into the “flying office” that the president needs, it should be a wonderful plane and will last the US a lot of years.
Boeing has not finished the one they have been working on, and their planes have been having a lot of accidents with the new ones coming out. It is important to have our American president safe when he is flying somewhere, and all of the presidents have had to do a lot of flying, even when it was just back and forth from the White House to wherever their home is at.

Many of our senators have expensive homes and vehicles that were gifted to us, and they personally keep those, where this plane would be for the United States president to use, whomever it is, and not a personal gift to President Trump.

I realize it’s for the countrh but it surprises me that he would be willing to accept it.

Oh well, Donald hasn’t called to ask me what I think so I suppose I’ll just have to be happy for him if he gets it. :ROFLMAO:

I think that's one of the problems. We have done all the giving for too long. What have we gotten in return?

You do have a point, Sheryl. It’s not that I want us to have to support the whole world.

It’s more that it’s embarrassing that the United States of America can’t build a new plane for our president. We have to depend on the Middle East to do it. There’s something very, very wrong with that.

The airplane is not a new one; it is one that the Arabs don't need and it has been standing idle for some time. They are making it a gift to the U.S. Air Force, not to Trump personally. The plane is supposed to bridge the gap until the new Air Force One planes are built, then it will be retired. Those who proposed the gift thought they were doing a good thing, and are somewhat insulted by the uproar the media has stirred up about it. If they had donated a pair of camels to the National Zoo, would that have been a bad thing? The plane was intended to be a think you gift to the U.S. for standing by them against Iran.

I know all that. There are layers to this situation.

1. If the world’s greatest super power can’t make a plane for it’s president is it still the world’s greatest super power?

2. I’m not saying they would or wouldn’t necessarily but there could be any kind of spy system on a plane that comes from another country. Could our country be sure it was safe? I have no confidence in that.

3. They may say no strings attached but anyone who has lived very long knows better than that.

Provide for oneself and you will know what you have. Don’t depend on others to provide for you and you are less likely to be disappointed in your provision.

Don’t worry, I will still vote for Trump’s third term without liking every single thing he does. :ROFLMAO:

Oh, I forgot the camels. I think our zoos have enough camels. How about a pair of the beautiful Arabians instead?

Trump is WORKING and doing what he is supposed to do. Securing trade deals and brokering peace.
Look back at Obama's multi million dollar family vacations!!b! Biden did nothing especially did not lead our country. Now, that bothered me.
