We’ve had temps in the 60s this week but there will be snow or cold rain in a couple of days. Snow looks nice but rain doesn’t have to be shoveled.
Oh well, guess I’ll just take what I get. ☔

I saw my first bumblebee of spring yesterday. I saw the mockingbird pick up a twig today and carry it to the bushes. He must be getting the nest ready for her to inspect. My phoebe bird has started his songs to court his mate. They nest under my carport, so he sits just outside and sings to her.
Spring is springing.

Yes, I am happy , happy today ! The sun is shining, it is warm outside, and I did my 10 minutes on the vibration plate for my morning exercise, so I am alert and energetic today.
Going to go outside and sit in the sunshine this afternoon and work on getting that suntan.

Great to hear!

I am hoping the weather gets warmer here in England, UK it's only 6c at the moment and staying cold this week. :(

Good evening all..

Has anything made you happy today?

It was warm and sunny today, and I heard bluebirds chirping, which always makes me smile. I also went to see one of my neighbors new little horse; a little filly. She is a beauty and all legs right now. ☺️ So adorable to watch her and her big momma prancing around.

Checking out the total eclipse of the Moon. Red, but quite dim. I decided not to run out into the sticks looking for a viewing spot with less light pollution. These are more impressive when they happen while the Moon is near the horizon.

That is great ! I have not been paying attention, and was thinking it was this weekend, but there are so many trees we can never see that kind of thing anyway. It was pretty cloudy last night, even if we had remembered to look and see if we could see the moon.
Bobby was up around 3 again, and he didn’t say anything about seeing it, but the eclipse would have been over way before then if you were seeing it at around 2AM, Jacob.

I was out taking peeks from 2 AM onward, but totality was at something like 2:30 or 2:35. One notable thing about this one was its extreme length: 65 minutes. I believe that's because Sun, Earth, and Moon were lined up straight so the Moon passed through the center of Earth's shadow rather than above or below it.

It was so high in the sky here that it was hard for me to look at directly, and too cold/damp to lie on the ground. :ROFLMAO: So I mostly used a small hand mirror to observe it.

I know enough about the process to avoid being too excited to lay my eyeballs on these things any more. However we had a rare clear sky unlike most times there are unusual sky phenomena. That made me at least pop out several times to look up and go "yep."

Good morning and happy Saturday! When it's a weekend things can't be all bad, right?

Happy weekend everyone! :) I hope everyone is having a good weekend so far :)

Good morning! A touch of sadness veils me this morning as I sip my coffee. I liken recent events to a gold rush.

Someone discovers a beautiful nugget and shares the location of that discovery. Old acquaintances flock in to share in the treasure trove. All celebrate the excellent constructed mine and the friendly accommodating folks that inhabit it. It doesn't take long before the trail blazer announces that the old mine, in which many inhabited for years, might reopen with a new portal and be better timbered to avoid frequent cave-ins as the old mine suffered.

Immediately, the trailblazers body guard senses an insurrection by some of the former miners (seniors, not minors) against the proprietor of that mine. A proprietor that didn't even notify the trailblazer or bodyguard of the closing and that is a contentious point for some. The body guard stages a hostile walk out, throwing punches at others as he exits. Many go silent, afraid to go against the trailblazers body guard in case the old mine is reconstructed. The treasure is still in this mine, but requires responsible participation in which some probably can't handle since they lost their supreme status the old mine bestowed on them. Being unable to steal back their old status and not caring to earn it again, they go silent.

This new mine shows promise from the samples I have assayed.

I am starting to feel more cheer. I think getting this out has helped brighten my day. It may have been that second cup of coffee. Going for hot chocolate now. Chocolate always makes me happy.
