What animals have you seen recently?

I have lots of animals that pass through my yard, usually in the wee hours of the night. My security cameras catch them. Last night I had a raccoon and 3 deer. The night before; a skunk, raccoon, 2 deer, a fox and a cat. It can be a wild kingdom here sometimes, and I live in a subdivision.

Mostly we just see cats and dogs, but our neighbors have chickens, so there are roosters crowing at all hours of the day and night now, and it feels like we are living on a farm with all the noise.
They also have ducks and at least one rabbit, which comes hopping through the yard every now and then, and wants to play with the cats.
They did have little pigs, which escaped and came into the yard, but we have not seem them for a while, so maybe they ate the pigs.
Lots of birds around now, and a few squirrels, but the cats are doing a pretty good job of keeping them scared away, which is good.

Oh my, you mean besides my chickens, ducks and sheep?;)
We have a variety of bird species. Today there were Baltimore Orioles discussing territory. Purple house finches, sparrows, squirrels discussing the bird feeder...
I always have white tailed deer in my neighborhood , rabbits and a wild turkey. Unusual is the number of snapping turtles crossing the road as ditches have flooded lately and are now drying up.
Oh and my snuggly pet guinea pig.

My blueberries are just starting to get ripe, and now the birds have been out there trying to eat them. I ended up putting a net across the one that has the first ripe fruit, but will have to net the other berry bushes to keep the birds and squirrels out of all of them now. The kitty cats do a pretty good job of scaring the birds and squirrels off, but they are not there all of the time.

The only animal that we have seen besides our dogs and cats was the neighbor’s big black rabbit. I think they must turn him loose in the yard and he just hops over here now and then and tries to play with our cats. He has even followed them up the ramp to the porch and if the gate was not shut, he would have hopped right upon the porch.
The rabbit is not afraid if the cats, and he does not try to hurt them either, but he does want to be friendly, and the cats are just not sure what that big black creature even is !
They will come up to him and sniff, but they doin’t want to play with him.

Oh my gosh! Your cats don't try to attack or eat the rabbit? :D

No, the rabbit is at least as large as the cats, maybe larger. Except for Mama Kitty, I do not think that any of the three young ones eat any kind of live creature, although they do chase everything that they see moving.
They might have accidentally swallowed a few bugs or moths. The mother cat is a hunter, and she does eat what she catches, except for the garter snakes.
She seems to just pack those around and bring them in the house for us. (I wish she didn’t do that ! )

The rabbit follows the cats around, so they are not sure if he is friendly or if he is after them, and they are curious but keep their distance. I think the rabbit just wants to be friends.
