AI Robotic Puppies

I have seen videos about this also, but most of them say that the actual puppy dies not look anything like the ones that are advertised, and that the Chinese use live puppies in the advertisements to make it seem like the robot puppies look like real ones.
Since they come from China, it is likely that they at least kill real dogs and use the skin and fur to make the puppies look more realistic, and if not puppies, then they probably use rabbit fur.
While the idea of a lifelike robot pet is interesting, it appears that the real ones are not what is being offered in the advertisements. Kind of like those juicy hamburger advertisements and then when you buy the hamburger, the lettuce is wilted, the burger is flat, and looks nothing like the advertisement at the restaurant.

I can only imagine [ oops, another song ] whats next. What kind of toon wants a fake dog?
Then again.

Yeah, I don't think the real products are very close to that yet. The day is probably coming.

I suspect when these are more capable they will not be very cheap, but will quickly supplant live critters. People will be able to turn them off when bored, and have their programming wiped and get them reskinned for resale as refurbished.

I think the next step is obvious, robot children in varying ages. Always subservient and clean, easily placed into hibernation, and resold and traded up once the owners want something to play with of an "older age" - if ever.

"Pets" are already surrogate children to most slave owners. This just takes things another step.
