Police in Sydney say 11 people have been killed in a shooting at a Jewish event in Bondi Beach, where one suspect has died and another is in a critical condition. One of those suspects has been named as a 24-year-old - and both have been pictured.

Both suspected gunmen in the terror attack in Bondi Beach have been pictured.

I put this up in politics, I didn't see this one. Can you delete it for me?

Film of shooter being taken down by,

I wonder if the guy who attacked the shooter will be prosecuted? If this happened in several Blue cities, like New York, the rescuer would be prosecuted and the armed guy would be released without cash bail. I tend to disagree with the Israeli Spec Ops vet however in it being a lone wolf attack. I think it is very difficult to obtain those kinds of weapons in Australia. I think these men undoubtedly had foreign help. If this happened in the U.S. it could be a lone wolf attack with only two guys, but I don't think that is true in Australia. Maybe @Kate Ellery can clarify.

I read that the shooters were from Pakistan and were a father and son. The shooters at Brown University that @Marie Mallory posted about was a Muslim terrorist, too, and it might have been that one that was a father and son. Either way, both shooters were Muslim terrorists.

Iran has been at war with us since the hostage crisis under Carter. Our first real shot at them was the bombing a few months ago. We have basically been trying to appease the Iranians, especially under Obama. The Bushes would have attacked them, but they were afraid of them. George W. thought he could control them by taking Iraq on one side and Afghanistan on the other. He was wrong, although it may have worked for a while.

It was the Australian shooting that was the father and son team. The father is dead and the son is in custody. The police stations was about 3 minutes walk from the beach where the shooting occurred, but the shooting was allowed to go on for almost 20 minutes while law enforcement just watched it happen.

The shooter in Rhode Island is not a Muslim, but he is a transgender, which is what several of the last school shooters have been.

How in the world can a person on a tourist visa have 6 licensed firearms? I guess Australia hasn't confiscated firearms after all if they allow tourists to walk around with 6 rifles!

I guess the father was now determined to be a legal immigrant who had been evaluated by Australian authorities and was determined to be no ongoing threat. They had no criminal history and were carrying an ISIS flag and had reportedly pledged loyalty to ISIS. Australian politicians called for more gun control even though all these guns were now reportedly registered and the owner had passed all background checks. I think the Prime Minister, in typical fashion, blamed Right Wing Extremism for the shooting, not Islamic extremism or terrorism supported by Iran. So-called Right Wing Extremism gets blamed for everything bad, even the stuff they have nothing to do with.

There are also multiple reports of Sydney police officers reporting to the scene promptly and hiding, or turning and running from the violence. I guess they can issue tickets but can't face violence. Many of those hiding or fleeing were reportedly female office, but I don't know if that is true. In the U.S. female officers are often the first to fire their weapons in a confrontation.

Anti-Jewish violence has reportedly been escalating for quite sometime in Australia, and has been ignored by officials.

all of those reports seem to be true, @Don Alaska . There are videos of the whole thing on X, and you can see them trying to get some of the reluctant officers to stop hiding behind the police cars.

Apparently the hero civilian, who was supposedly shot by the other gunman was a fellow Muslim who was upset by the violence. O wonder if the police actually shot him, but the news said it was the other gunman.
