Trump The Cyrus of The Age?

I haven't spent much time studying religion, but I know enough to know that many people who call themselves "Christians" have little to no actual Christian values. So I don't waste my time on it.

This thread is as much about politics as anything else, although ancient religion and history is involved. At the same time, it is hard to ignore how todays news is like reading the Biblical predictions of an era.
I have always studied both religion and politics. But the mind or memory isn't what it use to be.
So much so I feel I can say, I've forgotten more than most today ever knew about both.
Of course, I feel away a couple decades ago.

@Yvonne , @Don Alaska , @Joe Riley @Bobby Cole , and whoever else studies religion.

I thought this may interest you, It is very interesting to me how Trump seems to be like todays Cyrus in many ways.
So much so that he is being called Cyrus by many world leaders today, including Israels Netanyahu.

I am not smart enough, versed enough, or wise enough to deal with prophecy. Trump appears to feel that he has been saved by God for a purpose, but whether he is Cyrus or not, I have no idea. I also think Trump thinks he may not survive his second term, but by natural causes or other, I have no idea.

Part of it may be that our minds seek patterns among our observations. Modeling the world is a big part of how we select among actions. We mentally seek "best fit" between observations and our personal and cultural experiences or memories.

I can't discredit prophecy as reality completely. But I lean more toward perceived pattern matches seeming to align with prophecies as the actual phenomenon at work.

I suppose there is an ongoing struggle in me between the cynical burned-too-many-times part of my mind and the part that can experience hope and wonder at how complex and larger than us things are.

Cyrus, the King of Persia was God's Instrument, builder of the temple. Even though Isaiah prophesized 150 years before Cyrus became King, he calls him by name. Josephus, the Jewish historian wrote that "when Cyrus read this (Isaiah's prophesy), and admired the Divine Power, an earnest desire and ambition seized upon him to fulfill what was so written."
These verses convinced Cyrus to issue the decree to rebuild the temple. (passion bible footnotes)

You couldn't tell it by me, I think you're a wise man.

I don't study as well since my memory is not what it was.
I agree that most of us seek the truth in different ways also many have been turned off by so many false religious leaders.
Solomon warned that much wisdom brings great sorrow, maybe we aren't suppose to study too hard, then again it also says, prove all things. I never could stay with it long at a time.
