I am amazed how the Right reacted to Charlie Kirk's assassination. If a gangster is killed by accident or intentionally by a police officer, the Left goes on the rampage in the streets rioting and looting. When a significant member of the Right is assassinated by an activist from the Left, the Right goes to church and the assassin is publicly forgiven by the victim's wife. Moving indeed.

I'm aware of the changes in and around Detroit. I think I posted a video somewhere here showing a spiteful Islamic mayor of Dearborn telling a Christian resident he was a racist, to leave, and that a celebration would be held on the day he left.

This is the kind of thing that concerns me about religion in public life and in public policy. I don't care which book you hug, there are extremists among them all and they often develop a charismatic quality that gathers them supporters. This can lead to heinous acts committed with a "clear conscience" out of "righteousness."

Yes, so very true, although I’m not surprised. I just wish everyone could see that difference but of course they cannot.

Jacob, I did see the video of the Islamic mayor threatening the Christian. I’m glad I don’t live in Hamtramck, MI.

Michigan is in much the same position as Illinois. They have Chicago, we have Detroit.

The Detroit area has never had much in common with the majority of the State. Policy is always a tug-of-war.
