Do you guys eat fast food?
Such as, Kebabs, MacDonald's, KFC, Burger King.

A lot of you people might not get these restaurants in your country so share your thoughts of your own fast restaurants.
My favorite is Burger King, chips & burgers are lovely but quite expensive for what it is.

I would eat more, but it's gotten too expensive, minus 5 to 7 dollar deals at some places.

Chinese Food, Arbys it depends.

We very seldom have fast food anywhere. Occasionally, we get the Tuesday special from KFC, which is an 8-piece bucket of chicken for $10. I order it online and we drive down and pick it up.
The little C-Store near us now has Hunts Brothers Pizza, and it is really good pizza. You can have all the toppings you want for the same price; and we like all kinds of veggies on our pizza , as well as meat; so we sometimes will pick up a pizza from there.

Most of the time, we cook whatever we are going to eat, and I try to shop for actual foods and not processed foods. Every 2-3 months, we like to go out and eat at a cafe, which is usually IHOP, but sometimes a Mexican or Chinese restaurant instead.

This shows how bad commercial fast food can be. This one is about ice cream that sat outside for several days and did not melt, just got soft and gooey. I have also seen pictures of fast book hamburgers that were left sitting outside for a really long time, and nothing on them spoiled except the lettuce and tomato, if it had that on the burger.

Sometimes algin is used in cheap ice creams to make them solid. If it is very cheap, there might be enough in it to keep the stuff solid at room temperature or above. If you are familiar with agar, algin and other seaweed products are similar. As far as I know, they are not harmful, but they DO reduce the calories in the ice cream;)

I don't eat cheap ice cream. The closest thing to it for me is a Mocha Frappe.
🧋

And it ain't cheap anymore... The first Mocha Frappe I bought was $2, back in 2014. Now they're $6!

Wendy's and Burger King have become disappointments. Real fish sandwiches have disappeared Haven't seen a Long John Silver's around, for quite a while. We enjoy Chic Fil-A,s and they have been our place "to go" to! Their grilled chicken sandwiches are to "Live For"!

I used to eat at two fast food places a lot---Burger King and McD's. BK had 3 really good long bun sandwiches: ham & cheese, fish, and chicken. I would rotate between them for dinner within walking distance of the apartment where I first lived here. Now they only have the original chicken. They smother it with (Duke's? ) mayonnaise. It's still good, but 660 calories doesn't leave much room for anything else for the day. McD's Southern Style Chicken Sandwich was very good, but it's gone now too. Tired of burgers, except the tiny ones at McD's.

I've not tried most of the other places. Never found anything I like at Arby's. The best seafood place here is Captain D's. I think it's only in the Southeast.

Ode to McDonald’s

"E v e r y time I see those Golden Arches on the horizon, I’m swept down memory lane, back to a happy time so long ago."

"When I was a child in the late 1960s, 1970s and 1980s, Mom was the bookkeeper for the family business, AAA Trailer Hitch and UHaul, in Macon. During the summer months, I often rode shotgun with Mom to Macon so she could prepare the weekly bank deposit — a task that took her about an hour or two. Mom worked at a big desk in the front office as the guys installed trailer hitches in the back and I visited with Uncle Edwin or watched Bob Barker and “The Price is Right” on a small television in the lobby."

"When Mom was done with work, we drove down Rocky Creek Road to one of the very first McDonald’s in the central part of Georgia. We both loved the Filet-O-Fish sandwich with a side of greasy, skinny French fries and an ice cold Dr. Pepper. Sometimes, we’d both order a Fried Apple Pie, which back then was a delicacy of molten apple-cinnamon filling contained in a crispy golden brown shell and served in a cardboard carton. Those pies burned my tongue and the roof of my mouth so many times!"
