I am already seeing yard signs and bumper stickers and hats. This, despite our Governor's slick evasion of recognizing this anniversary the way other States have begun to.

Even the bigger fireworks store is already sending out advertising far ahead of the event.



Is anyone else seeing this sort of thing?

There's not much here around me, but yesterday I took a long drive down an "old highway" that threads through numerous small towns. There were lots of signs, flags, even decorated barns that used to be all red.

I have not seen any signs, but they have been talking about the big 250th celebration coming up next year on the social media websites for some time now, and President Trump has definitely been sprucing up the White House to look good for the celebration. I wonder where they are getting the signs ? I will have to see if Amazon has them maybe.

Amazon has yard signs like this, as well as other options. They have hats, coffee mugs,T-shirts, and even liberty bell Christmas ornaments , and probably more that I didn’t see yet. I like the mugs, but most are 11 oz, so smaller than either Bobby or I use, and the largest I found was 15 oz.

As we get a little closer there might be more options.

I was stringing my RWB solar twinkly lights out front for the holiday weekend and a neighbor came out and we talked about it some. Her son who lives with her wants to put out a nice Liberty Bell welcome mat at their front door when he finds one. He's a big guy, almost 45 now, and he hates fireworks and garish stuff. So that sort of surprised her.
