"Today, Grateful Web proudly sends cosmic birthday wishes to the incomparable William Shatner, celebrating his 94th spin around the sun on March 22, 2025. From traversing television’s imaginative twilight to captaining humanity’s most beloved spaceship, and even venturing into the true depths of space itself, Shatner’s extraordinary career has been nothing short of stellar."

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BILL!🎂

During one of my band's many breaks from the road, I used to work at the Ahwahnee Hotel in Yosemite. The Star Trek crew came to Yosemite to film Star Trek 5: The Final Frontier. They stayed at the hotel for three weeks, and as a Bellman who doubled as Room Service at times, I saw a lot of them quite often. All of them from Harve Bennett to the lowliest coffee runners, were great people. Except one... One person was as rude as they come, harassed hotel employees, specially maids, and based on what other crew members had to say, he was extremely hard to work with.

I'll let you guess who that was...

Happy 94th birthday to the great William Shatner! The Canadian actor, recording artist, equine enthusiast and space traveler was born in Montreal on March 22, 1931.

He’s entertained generations and captured our imaginations in The Twilight Zone, the Star Trek TV and film series, cop series T.J. Hooker, drama Boston Legal, docuseries Rescue 911 and so much more.

He recently said he would be open to playing Capt. James T. Kirk again, and would soon be hearing a story pitch.

Next year, he’ll be setting sail on Royal Caribbean’s Adventure of the Seas for Star Trek: The Cruise in celebration of Star Trek’s 60th anniversary.

In celebration of his 94th birthday on Saturday, March 22, the actor tells PEOPLE in an exclusive statement that he has marked his special day in the same touching way over the past 35 years.

"For the last many years, I have celebrated my birthday by working on a very successful charity called The Hollywood Charity Horse Show. We have been doing it for 35 years and raised millions of dollars for children and veterans," Shatner says.

As for other celebratory plans this year, the Star Trek alum continues, “My family is taking me to Las Vegas for dinner and a show, and then back to Los Angeles."

"It’s going to be a family experience in that wonderful, entertaining city. I’m really looking forward to it," he adds.

"The veteran film star wrote on X: "As I begin my 95th journey around the sun today I want to take a minute to thank everyone for the birthday wishes! I am overwhelmed at the amount of love I have received. My best, Bill"

"William Shatner, later of Star Trek mega-fame, plays two roles, that of Johnny Moon and Notah. Twin brothers, they are half-breeds.
Notah came to hate the white race and leads the Comanche on rampage after rampage. Johnny wants to live in the white world, but finds it impossible because everyone blames him for his brother’s deeds."

"Declaring “one of us must die,” Johnny Moon challenges Notah to a showdown in the town of Rio Hondo.
Once there, Johnny meets a sheriff (Joseph Cotton) stuck in the middle of a land-grabbing war between Grimes, a local businessman, and General Garcia, a Mexican rancher."

"He also meets a pretty young blonde (Rosanna Yanni as Kelly), who’s been raped by Notah in an attack on a stagecoach.
Once she’s convinced her attacker wasn’t Johnny, she falls in love with him, then tries to convince him to flee for safety rather than sticking by his plan of forcing a showdown with his twin. Johnny ignores her advice. After all, the sheriff needs help keeping a range war from breaking out. And he also has that date with Notah to keep." READ MORE

On his birthday, he received a lot of birthday wishes, and one very unusual one from Elon Musk…….. an invitation to go along with Musk on the trip to colonize Mars.
At first, Shatner declined the offer, but after thinking it over for a few days, he has now responded to Musk, saying that he likes the idea of there maybe being a “Shatner City” on Mars, and that it fits his ideals in life.

William Shatner on going to Mars:

"Here’s a question you should think about; how are you moving this world forward?Seems all you are doing is sitting on your high saddle and telling others what they should do. If someone else is doing something to move towards a future and you condemn them but don’t do anything yourself; that’s not moving anything forward. 🙄 Be the change or get out of the way…🤷🏼"

Unless you've been conversant with a lot of Star Trek series and films you won't get all of the references here, but this was amazing. It uses many de-aging and "reanimation" techniques to give a sendoff to two important characters.
