If you've every tried Jelly Belly Gourmet Jelly Beans, you will quickly notice that there are MANY flavors! (Forty to be exact!) Another thing you will notice is how much FLAVOR is packed in each tiny bean. Eat a handful at once, and it is off the charts! I grew up without PBJ sandwiches, for some reason, however my Wife loves PB. The first time I bought a bag of Jelly Bellies, the very FIRST one was.....you guessed it....peanut butter! From there it was smooth sailing. What about you? WHAT IS YOUR MOST POPULAR FLAVOR?

Joe you mean you can tell the difference? I'll have to pay more attention next time I guess,

Excuse me while I over-think this... Last jelly beans I remember only had 7 flavors. Rule out black (licorice), purple and white (pepperminty), and red (wasn't it cinnamon?). (n) That leaves green, yellow, and orange. I'll pick orange. Final answer: ORANGE.

The linked chart has wild blackberry. That sounds good.

Are jelly beans safe for dogs?

Under no circumstances are jelly beans safe for dogs. Regardless of flavor, brand, or type, jelly beans have no nutritional value to dogs and are very dangerous.

While there are kinds of human food that you can safely share with your dog every once in a while, you should never intentionally give jelly beans to your dog. This includes all the flavors and kinds of jelly beans like:
  • Licorice jelly beans
  • Jelly Belly jelly beans
  • Jolly Rancher jelly beans
  • Starburst jelly beans
Don’t forget no name and off-brand jelly beans, too!

🐕The article on dogs and jelly beans reminded me of when I was around 15 years old, and my brother in law brought his dog named Pilot, to a picnic. He showed us a trick he taught Pilot. He would have him lay down flat on the ground, and his legs straight out. He then placed a red jelly bean on one side of his head, and a yellow one on the other side, giving the order "Wait"! After a tense moment or two, he would tell Pilot "OK, Pilot, eat the RED one! (or YELLOW), and amazingly his dog was right most of the times, as I remember! Pilot was a bigger dog, and with that name, I waited to see if he could also fly! ....but no, he was not an Airdale!

President Reagan and his jar of Jelly Bellies.

"When Ronald Reagan ran for Governor of California in 1966, he began eating "Goelitz Mini Jelly Beans" as part of his successful attempt to give up pipe smoking. Herman Goelitz Candy Company, the Oakland-based producer of the jelly beans, sent a monthly shipment to the Governor's Office throughout Reagan's two terms in Sacramento. The company also made a custom-designed jelly bean jar for Reagan."

"After Reagan left the governorship, he continued to receive shipments of Goelitz Mini Gourmet Jelly Beans directly from the company. When Herman Goelitz introduced its Jelly Belly® brand of jelly beans in 1976, it began including the new brand in Reagan's regular shipment. Within two years, the shipment consisted entirely of the Jelly Belly® brand." READ MORE
