A Black Sea agreement has been reached between the US and Russia, the White House says - and it also says the US "will help restore Russia's access to the world market" for certain products.

Yeah, you can't get any agreements without talking to both parties. That is what Trump is willing to do that Biden never was. The European leaders will willing to talk with Zelenskyy but not with Putin. Hopefully there will be some resolution. There are many obstacles to overcome before there is real peace however.

Ukraine has hit Russian strategic assets in a massive drone attack. Several nuclear bombers on 4 airbases were destroyed or damaged, command and control planes taken out, aerial refuelers were hit, and there are reports that a nuclear submarine was hit in port. This attack reportedly was under planning for 18 months and was activated just one days before peace talks between Russia and Ukraine were schedule to take place. No one appears to know how Russia will respond to the biggest attack on its military capabilities since the Nazis began Operation Barbarossa.

According to what I saw the drones were loaded onto the tops of cargo containers that entered Russia somehow then were activated by remote control. It was not known if Starlink was used or Russia's own cell phone network to do the activation. If Starlink was used, it may cause the Russians to destroy the network.

I heard the loads were assembled and once ready they were driven to their destination by Russian drivers.

The Russians should probably think carefully about destroying any communication system like Starlink that is used by so many countries.

The peace talks resumed in Turkey for whatever good the may do or not.

The latest I have read was that Zelenskyy is trying to get Russia to directly attack a NATO country so that he will get more support. Everybody like Starmer and Macron are beating their chest and are ready to go to war, but probably won't/can't do it if the U.S. is not willing to carry the majority of the burden and Trump seems to be unwilling to do that. I do still expect a massive retaliation by Russia. Much of Ukraine has been left untouched by the Russian military despite what you read and hear in the media, but that may be about to change. Kyiv may end up in ruins even without the use of nukes.

Don't expect a whole lot besides another backstab. No telling what Russia might feel prepared to do here now. I think goading Russia into something extreme was the entire goal.

I don't think Russia will ignore it. I'm just hoping nukes don't come into play.
