Good luck with your seed @Tony Page. I went through a period of mysterious migrating pain this spring. The upside was that I lost 15 pounds during the episode. When the pain settled in my left eye, I was put on oral Augmentin and it seemed to end the pain. Still a mystery. The bruising might be a result of the radiation. Are you maintaining a good platelet count? They probably did coag studies on you but probably not an aggregation study. Do you take daily aspirin or any of those similar drugs?Everyday when I get up there seems to be a new pain, or ache. This morning I got up and my right knee is swollen and hurting. I don't see any black and blue and I don't remember banging it, seems like it was okay when I went to bed last night. Maybe I twisted it in my sleep.
I keep waiting for the day when I'll feel somewhat normal.
On a good note I got the Orange Hat Tomato seeds in the mail on Friday from ESTY. I pickup cukes and additional tomato seeds as well.
About a month ago I went to the oncologist who is handling the hormone treatment. They did a blood test and my platelet count is good. I did restart taking the hormone pills, I've been on them for about 3 weeks. That could be the reason I'm not feeling so well at times.Good luck with your seed @Tony Page. Don,Good luck with your seed @Tony Page. I went through a period of mysterious migrating pain this spring. The upside was that I lost 15 pounds during the episode. Yes, the pain moved around. It started in my right ankle, then moved down to my right foot instep, then up to the right knee, left knee, left foot, right hip, then to both hands, and finally up to my left eye, at which time I went to another walk-in clinic. I had been to a clinic when it was in my knees, and they x-rayed the knee that was hurting at the time and said there was obviously fluid there, so they sent me to an orthopedist who re-x-rayed the knee and said there was no fluid and they could see nothing wrong. They injected steroids into said knee, which did absolutely nothing. When my eye was hurting, I called my ophthalmologist's office and was told to put allergy eye drops in, so I went to a different walk-in clinic and they said there was an obvious infection in the eye lid, gave me antibiotic eye drops and a course of Augmentin. The eye began to get better shortly and there was not more migrating pain. My wife thinks the Augmentin fixed things; I don't know if that is true or if it was coincidence. I know of no pain syndrome that would be remedied in such a manner.Don,
How are you feeling now?
By Migrating, I assume you mean it's moving around That's very strange. I wonder if it's the same pain moving around or different nerves get inflamed?
Stay healthy
Tony
Weird, I'm not familiar with Augmentin, I'll have to check it out.Yes, the pain moved around. Augmentin is just ampicillin with clavulinic acid. Clavunic acid inactivates beta-lactamase which is the primary mode of resistance to the beta-lactam antibiotics such as penicillin, ampicillin and the cephalosporins.Weird, I'm not familiar with Augmentin, I'll have to check it out.
Interesting @Nancy Hart. If you are ever hospitalized, make sure the providers are aware of that. There is an IV antibiotic that also has clavulanic acid--Timentin--which is Ticarcillin with the clavulanate in it. It serves the same purpose, but, as far as I know, is only given as IV or injection usually in a hospital setting.Augmentin is the only antibiotic I've ever been allergic to. I've taken amoxicillin for decades with no problem, so it must have been the clavulanic acid part. It just made my legs itch, and then the area would turn red, swell up and get hot. Nothing serious.
Wasn't that an Imperial Fighter from Star Wars? It's a beauty.
I found this photo of something I took off the internet and I can't remember if it's a car, a plane, or a boat???

When I sleep too soundly, which is not often, I sometimes hurt my knee or bad leg because the pillow I have between my legs goes for a walk.About a month ago I went to the oncologist who is handling the hormone treatment. Right now I have pain in three locations the knee, the back, and the left side. I've been taking Ibuprofen when it's bad. I'm planning on restarting taking an aspirin a day in the future.
