Swimming

Yes, I know how to swim. I learned how to swim when I was 3 or 4 years old.

I can swim but I don't tend to go swimming at all now. I used to go a lot with my friends when I was younger but it has been many years since I last went.

I love swimming, and learned to swim when I was a little girl. I grew up near a large lake, and the community beach had swimming lessons every year to teach the little kids how to swim.
Now, I am not close enough to anyplace to actually swim in a lake or river, but my husband and I go to the fitness center, and he works out and I swim. It is an exercise that i can still do , and really enjoy.

We went to the Wellness Canter yesterday, and i swam for an hour, and it was so nice to enjoy the water. I was not anywhere near as tired afterwards as i was when we went earlier this week; so that is a good sign that my muscles are starting to build back up.
Our fitness center is having children’s swimming lessons every day now, and most of the little ones are terrified and scream the whole time in the water. Even swimming as far away as possible in the pool, the screaming makes it harder to just relax and enjoy swimming. They have the lessons from 12-2, so yesterday, we went earlier and I was done swimming before the pool was indundated with screaming toddlers. The older children come on weekends, and they don’t scream, but they still make a lot of noise.
We have decided we will try to go on Monday/Wednesday/Friday, and that way we mss the weekend kids and can go early enough to miss the screaming toddlers.
