Do you get songs stuck in your head? If you do, who is singing? Whoever was the singer on the recording of the song that you heard, and subsequently got stuck in your head? Or is it your voice?

No matter what song it is, or who is singing it, when I have a song stuck in my head, it's always my own voice singing. And it always sounds like it's supposed to sound. Not like the room clearing noise that comes out of my mouth.

I had not given much thought to that, but I do think that I am at least singing along with the song, most of the time. And like you mention, I am a much better singer in my head than what comes out of my mouth nowadays.
Sometimes, I wake up, mentally singing some song that came in with whatever I was dreaming. I will try to remember to post here the next time I have some song running through my head.

Yeah, but my question was Who is singing in your head, You or Whoever recorded the song?

I could sing harmony, but my doing lead vocals was pretty rare. I did Billy Gibbons' low growl voice on the intro of La Grange, but left the lead to our singer. All of my vocals were in the lower end, and that suited the intro of that song perfectly.

Always humming it myself, very quietly, or so I thought. Until one day I took a video with the phone, and it ruined the audio part of the video. I'm more careful now in public.
