Sleeping with a fan on

We have a ceiling fan in our bedroom and we use it often in the summer months. It is totally silent.

I always sleep with a small fan near my side of the bed. It only has a kind of “white noise” effect which helps me sleep better, and blows the fresh air into my face so i breathe better.
Even in the winter, I have the fan on.
We also have one of the portable AC/heaters in the bedroom, and it has 3 functions, the AC, heat, and plain fan; so we usually have that set for one of its functions, depending on the time of year.

We are now getting into the warmer weather of spring, the time in-between needing heat and air conditioning, which happens in the spring and the fall. This means that most of the time, we do not need either heat or air, and we usually have doors and windows open to let fresh air come through the house.
I have a little window fan in the bedroom window, which helps blow the fresh air into the bedroom and circulate it through the house.

Me too. Of course most people's idea of winter is nothing like how it is here. This last winter I turned the heater on once. But it's central AC/Heat, and the AC works all the time, but Maintenance has to turn the heat part of it on. It wasn't that cold so I never had them do that.

Eureka only had two seasons, Summer and Wetter... We actually had a little snow (very little) here last winter.

That's my favorite time to go to major national parks, specially if they get snow. The Skiers don't want to visit in Spring because the snow is melting, and Tourists don't want to visit then because there is still snow on the ground. In Fall, it's just the opposite. The Skiers don't want to visit because there's no snow yet and the Tourists don't want to because they're afraid it will snow... So for about a month in Spring and a month in Fall, the major parks are nice and quiet...

Don't forget to put on at the opposite end of the house, blowing out, and keep all windows in between closed. That creates sort of a Wind Tunnel effect.

I use to sleep with a fan on all the time. For several years now, we have moved away from sleeping with a fan on to a Air Purifier that runs on low speed. I may have to bump it up to medium speed to help block out some of my husband's annoying snoring.😣

I have a floor fan at the foot of my bed. I used to run it all year long for the white noise. The cost of electricity has gone so high that I only run it during the summer now. I got used to the silence after a while.

Nope. I had 4 ceiling fans and removed all but one so far. Old House. Tall ceilings. Just brings hot air down from above in summer. Moving air is chilly in winter. Too much humidity to leave windows open in summer. I left them open one day decades ago during pollen season. Never again.

I'd love to open my windows for the next few days, but the pollen is so thick I can't. By the time the pollen is gone, it's too hot to open the windows. The only time I can open them is a few days during the fall.

You folks with long-needle Southern Yellow Pine just have to deal with all that yellow stuff for a while. No A/C here, and we seldom go a month without heat on.
