Is Skype still thing or is it in the past?
I have not used Skype for around 8 years.

I am looking at getting back into but I mainly use Facebook for messaging friends etc.

Thankfully it's a thing of the past, it was a security nightmare and the fact it got so popular was terrifying. Full of holes and all sorts of backdoors that people could take advantage of. Very glad to see the back of it!

I guess Discord has taken over everything.. even forums sadly.

Very true, the decline of forums is a true sadness. I've been using forums since the mid 90s when I was just a kid and they were in their infancy and I've seen them blossom and fall away, It's such a shame, because there really is nothing like communicating on a forum to really chat with and engage with other people. You can't do that on "real time" chat software, it just doesn't work the same way.

Skype still has a lot of active users but due to the evolution and popularity of a lot of VoIP services, the growth of Skype just stopped. I don't remember when I used Skype last time.

Yeah I haven't used skype forever now lol. I wonder what it's like these days
