We didn’t even have a television until I was into my teens, and then it was a little black and white one. I remember my kids saw the Tonka Toy truck commercials, and always loved those.
When I was little, my mom let me ride one of the ponies at the fair, and after that, all I ever wanted was a pony of my own. This was around 1948, my first pony ride. After that, there were all of those Roy Rogers movies, so I wanted a horse just like Trigger.
