As a result of a Russian drone attack on Poland, the president of Poland has invoked an Article 4 of the NATO treaty. This declaration means that an emergency meeting of the NATO ministers must occur to address the issue. Article 4 can lead to an Article 5 declaration but it usually does not. It could lead to stronger action by the alliance against Russia. Article 5 has only been invoked one time and that was by the U.S. after 9-11. Article 4 has been invoked several times ( I think 6 or 8 times), but has only led to Article 5 one time.
