Yes, I have and it was ok.I also had the favor returned. The most complicated was a pet monkey, he bit my finger. I guess it was abused by somebody.
Last time we saw it , it was swinging thru the trees into Fort MCPherson Military Base in Atlanta.

Oh dear, that brings back bad but vivid memories. Just once. Not me, but my father. I was about 10 years old and tagged along.
My father's sister and her husband had a bulldog. Not what you usually think---a tall, long-legged dog, all tan, rather beautiful for a bulldog. They took it to obedience training classes at night downtown at Goodyear Hall across from Plant 1. I went with them once. (How did that happen?)
They also had an all-white long-haired cat. Both outdoors. My father agreed to look after the dog and cat while they went on vacation. The very first day we found the cat in their garage mangled in the stomach area, but still alive, barely. We rushed it to the vet, but the vet said it couldn't be saved, too many internal injuries. The vet speculated a dog was responsible.
Needless to say, I didn't like it.
My mother and I were house plant sitters for my grandmother whenever they went on fishing trips.
