I was replying on a thread today with Tony and subject brought up this memory of an occurrence outside the funeral home.
At the funeral home my other grandson was outside talking and a dove came down and sat on his finger for a minute then just flew off. Someone took a cell phone photo,


I instantly thought of this song and the spiritual link to it,

I claim that there is a ghost on our property @Marie Mallory. My wife denies it of course, but I think she is somewhat frightened by the idea. It has never done any harm as far as we know, and it seemed to leave when my youngest son left home...for a while. It was common to hear car doors closing outside in the driveway when there was nothing there. That is how it usually manifested. Neither of us ever saw anything. Of late, however, a mysterious cloud of some sort sometimes appears on our security cameras when it is dark and the cameras are in infrared mode. There is nothing visible there, and I suppose it could be a drone or something spying on us.

When I commuted later at night, I also saw mysterious stuff. I saw a large green fireball across the sky one night around 2 AM, but I saw no reports of anyone else seeing it, and occasionally I would see a strange light hovering over the road. Of course, there is an Airforce base to the south and a mysterious military base to the north, so perhaps they were doing strange things.

I had a really strange vision in the 80s, will tell of it later.
Also had lit up orb come to visit several years ago.
We were in bed and an orb came into the room from glass door window, landed on the dresser danced around awhile then slowly went back out the same glass door.

I always wonder whether orbs like that might be some sort of time travel probes or drones trying to lock in on a destination in time and space before sending somebody through. Considering that the Earth turns, moves around the Sun, the solar system moves around the galaxy, and the galaxy moves itself... pinning down a specific "location" on Earth at a given point in time must be pretty challenging.

But that's just a wacky speculation.

OK, we have a haunted mirror in the bathroom. The only thing left by the previous owners. I don't mind it. Basically, it makes scratchy noises. I took it down once and put it in the computer room and I thought a squirrel was in the wall there. I put it back in the bathroom. The noises, like little mumblings, are not consistent and my daughter thought it was just the mirror 'settle-ing' but we have lived here over 25 years. How much settling does it need to do?. After my friend's mother died, she was sad that she had never heard from Mom. That day the mirror made a HUGE noise--almost like a boom, I told her, Mom said hi.
Also, once I came into the laundry room from the garage and my little Emma was there for just a moment and then disappeared. Little Emma had died a while back. She also had come to sit by me when I was on the toilet once as she used to do for me to rub her eyes. I did not see her but felt her.
I could feel when other dogs had passed on sometimes.

Mary many people don't believe in the spirit world, until they have one of these kinds of experiences.

I do think that some of your ghosts are probably the military, @Don Alaska , since you live near a base. When I lived near Mount St. Helens, it was a training area for the military, and they sent people into the wilderness around there for survival training. We would find the CB radio turned on in the Jeep, keys hung up where they were hard to reach, and bales of hay moved around to make a sleeping space.
Some of our neighbors reported losing poultry , and outside building doors left open also.

Late at night, we would see green flashes of light , where they were probably training with some sort of night vision or maybe lasers. It was supposed to be a secret that the military was training there, but most of the people living in the area had long suspected that was who was sneaking around and stealing chickens.
We also heard the car doors closing, and that was when they were picking up the survival trainees, or dropping new ones off to live in the woods for a while.
