My mum went to the doctors on Monday morning feeling tired, headaches and sweaty.

The doctors said she has very high blood pressure and asked her how my mum got to the doctors my mum said she drived.
The doctor said you are not to drive, So I picked my mum up from my local doctors and took her straight to the hospital.

My mum arrived at the local hospital Monday (15/12/2025) at 12:15 PM waited around all day to be seen which was 7 PM and got admitted to a ward with a bed etc.
Today Tuesday (16/12/2025) the doctor in the hospital said my mum is bleeding inside around the stomach area.

Doctors are keeping a close eye on my mum incase she needs a blood transfusion as my mum is loosing a blood inside.

My mum has now just gone down to have a camera down her throat to see what is happening inside.
Fingers crossed it's nothing serious and something that can be controlled with tablets, drugs.

UPDATE: My mum is home feeling a lot better, she had a camera down her throat they found an hernia in her stomach causing her to have high blood pressure and other symptoms.
The doctors have said the hernia is 6 cm in size which is small and no need to operate at this moment in time. The hernia may go on it's own with tablets/drugs.

That is not good news about your mother, @Smithy . I hope and pray that the doctors can find out what is causing the bleeding inside , and be able to stop it.
Being there for your mom is what is important right now, and it is good that she has you nearby to be able to visit her in the hospital. Hopefully, she will not have to be there very long.

I am hoping there's no bad news and hoping for her to be home tonight going back to see her in the next 2 hours.

Once they have done the endoscopy, they should have a better idea of what has caused the bleeding, and how serious it is. Hopefully, she will not need to have a transplant of more blood, qr need an operation to stop the internal bleeding.
Do you have other family nearby to help watch after your mom once she is able return home ?

Your mother is back at home now, @Smithy , right ? You didn’t specifically say whether she was able to go back home after they discovered the hernia, but I was assuming that they would release her if they only needed medication and not an operation . Hoping that she is recovering and feeling better by now.

@Yvonne Smith Sorry yes she is home she is having a camera up her backside in January to see if they can see anything else. We are expecting an operation in the future if the hernia causes more problems.

@Kyng Thank you, it's not very nice when your parents are in hospital. :(
