Hey everyone, I’m working on an engine replacement and want to make sure I don’t miss anything important. Does anyone have a detailed Engine Replacement Checklist they follow? What key steps or must-have items should be included to ensure a smooth and successful replacement? Any tips or recommendations would be really helpful!

Hi, I saw your question and wanted to help! An Engine Replacement Checklist should include key steps like gathering the necessary tools and parts, disconnecting the battery, draining fluids, labeling and disconnecting hoses and wiring, removing engine mounts, and carefully lifting out the old engine. Before installing the new engine, inspect and replace worn-out components like belts, hoses, and gaskets. Ensure proper alignment, reconnect all components, refill fluids, and perform a thorough inspection before starting. Finally, test for leaks, monitor performance, and make any necessary adjustments. Having a repair manual and taking photos during disassembly can also help streamline the process.

I'm a bicyclist, and I don't know that much about bicycles either. I get on, point the bike in the general direction I want to go, and start pedaling. As long as I don't see anything that distracts me from the route I chose, which happens quite often, I may eventually get to where ever it was that I was going. 🚲
