Two NASA astronauts have splashed down off the coast of Florida after spending more than nine months stuck in space.
Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams waved as they left their capsule - nearly an hour after it returned to Earth at about 6pm local time (10pm UK time).

Dolphins were seen swimming nearby while work was under way to remove it from the water.
The astronauts' journey back from the International Space Station took 17 hours.

I find it interesting that dolphins sensed that the capsule was different than the boats in the area. I think dolphins have a sense that we as humans cannot understand. Whether they have a special sense of such an event or just happened to be in the area, they added as very special touch to this historical moment.

Could be anything.

I could imagine shamanistic dolphins knowing the lore of similar events where ships and helicopters gathered following the splash of a returned space vehicle. It would be an oddity in human behavior: not common ship travel, fishing, conflict, etc. but known to be safe to investigate. Gawker dolphins following to get eyes and ears on such an event in their own lifetimes. No idea what it is really all about... but novel, a curious event.

Maybe the dolphins just appreciate Elon Musk’s dedication to getting these astronauts home. (y)

Maybe they are the distant offspring of stranded space travelers from an ancient time?
.....or just Space Groupies!🐬

This could get dangerous. They need to go through the right process in order to re-acclimate.
