Musk's father says Elon made a mistake 'under stress' and that Trump will prevail

MOSCOW (Reuters) -The row between Elon Musk, the world's richest man, and U.S. President Donald Trump was triggered by stress on both sides and Elon made a mistake by publicly challenging Trump, Musk's father told Russian media in Moscow.

"You know they have been under a lot of stress for five months - you know - give them a break," Errol Musk told the Izvestia newspaper during a visit to the Russian capital. "They are very tired and stressed so you can expect something like this."

"Trump will prevail - he's the president, he was elected as the president. So, you know, Elon made a mistake, I think. But he is tired, he is stressed."

Elon Musk is back at it again, publicly. He is going to primary any Republican that votes for this big budget bill currently before Congress. Donald Trump is going to primary any Republican that votes against it and is hinting that he could cut Federal funding of Musk's projects. So far 2 Republican Congressman have decided it's not worth the chaos, and have decided not to run for re-election.

I’m a little surprised since that legislation is the main political topic everywhere this week but a lot of things aren’t discussed. There aren’t enough people here to cover everything.

I’m getting a bit tired of the way Musk is acting. Starting a new party is a little ambitious for a guy that’s never run for election.

Speaking of being confused I don’t think I’ve seen anything from Elon’s father before, only his mother.

I think that Elon and his father are not very close to each other, and he and his siblings were raised by their mother, whom they all seem to dearly love. I am not sure what the whole story is, concerning Elon’s father, but it does appear that he was trying to help support his son.

I think that because Elon is autistic, he sees things differently that most other people would, which is sometimes a good thing , and sometimes not so good. I do believe that what Elon cares about the most is having America be financially secure, as evidenced by his putting together the DOGE department to try and help the US get out of some of the senseless debt we have.
He is concerned that the US is going to collapse from bankruptcy, and has put his all into trying to save the country, and I think that he sees the new bill as not accomplishing that.

I believe that this is all going to work out, President Trump really cares about Elon, and he understands probably the best of anyone where Elon is coming from on trying to save the country, because that is what Trump is trying to do , too.

I agree about his autism. I think most geneses have a certain form of mental illness.
