That looks delicious, @Jake Smith ! ! Your stove is awesome, too. That is a new one that you just got not too long ago, right ? I will have to look and see if I have any pictures of food . We usually just enjoy it and don’t take pictures, but there is probably something.

Yeah, the stove is the one I put up on Soc that I wanted, got it right before Soc shut down. You'll need to take us some photos you have or, of things you cook now; that would be nice to see.

Dangerous thread, Jake! Do you know how many food pictures I have!!? I have made myself picturesque cookbooks over the years. I use to be on cooking forums years ago, and we would post pictures of meals and different foods we made.

So true Krystal; makes me hungry. Looking forward to your photos, I may learn a new recipe from you. :)

Ok....I'll post one of the desserts I am making for Thanksgiving.:D It is apple cake with fresh whipped cream. It can be served with caramel sauce, which is really good but I am not going to make the sauce this time. The sauce is very sweet! This is a good single cake that can be made ahead of time and frozen. I will be be making it tomorrow to freeze.

Looks delicious to me.

Today we will make a South Carolina meal originated in Jakes home town on the Pee Dee River.
Of course, these recipes ingredients could be versatile, like replacing chicken with squirrel [ I never tried this one].

It’s similar but distinct from its cousin, chicken bog, a classic dish from the Pee Dee region of South Carolina, known for its hearty and comforting blend of rice, chicken, and sausage also cooked in a rich broth. The name "bog" refers to its slightly wetter texture compared to perloo.

We made it, and I'll take a photo tonight, and put it up.:)

Last night's "super", chicken, brown rice and soy sauce, onions, and butter toast. Frozen now, a bunch in pyrex glass bowls, for meals along and along; it's a lot less cooking, and easier meals. I like to put those Chinese hard noodles over top, but don't have any. :)

One thing most Aussies don’t eat much of and that’s beans …..I like beans infact I made what I call savoury mince a few days ago and I always add a can of baked beans …but they upset my gut issue ..Diverticular

We had a local doctor living next door for a couple of years they were from Pakistan and she’d give me dishes made with lentils and they to upset my gut issue…but I make red lentil soup and it’s fine eating that maybe it’s cause I Barmix it till it’s really smooth ( they break up as well )
I’ll never know why they are called red lentils when they are actually orange

Guess we are lucky not to get a gut issue with beans, not so sure why. Maybe try different types, just a little, to see if it's maybe it's a spice or something, I would imagine that Pakistan, may spice their beans; not sure.
