It is free, but they also have a paid plan for people who post a lot. I mainly just read news. There is everything on there, so the best thing to do is follow some of the people you are interested in, and some news pages, and then add more people as you find some that interest you. You do have to make an account there, but the basic account is free, @Mary Stetler . All the important news is there first !
