Keeper (2025)

I don't watch horror films anymore, I prefer comedy that is intentionally funny. And even then, in very limited quantity.

Back in the dark ages of playing in a touring bar band we used to go to movies a lot. Our lead singer, who thought he could make it with a moderately good voice, a can of Ronson lighter fluid and a Bic lighter (for The Johnny Flame Show, of course), loved horror films. There were ten of us, between the band and the stage crew, and we would take turns picking movies to go to. When it was his turn, he always picked a horror film. We would go, and nine out of ten of us would laugh at the Cheezyness of the films, and subsequently get kicked out of the theaters. After we wasted a ton of money on tickets, we make a new rule. Everyone got to pick a film when it was their turn, but it had to be agreed to by everyone. And nobody agreed for films we would kick kicked out of the theater for laughing at them.

We had our own rating system for films, which we decided on based on the previously mentioned cheezyness of the films. The basis of it was based on how many pizzas can you make with the films Cheezyness?
