It appears Valero and Chevron are leaving California

Both Chevron and Valero are leaving California and Phillips is closing their LA refinery. California is losing 20% of its oil industry in just the next year due to regulations taxes, and environmental restrictions. Chevron, which has been in California since its founding are moving the headquarters to Houston, Texas. I don't know where Valero is moving to. Gavin Newsome strikes again. Some models say that this will push gas prices over $8 per gallon by the end of next year. Much of California's gas may come from China and India by sea.

California has so many problems. People there should have caught on earlier, but I think it might be too late now to avoid some sort of ugly collapse before things can turn around for them.

That is true, and it is particularly sad, as I always found California to be a lovely place, although the area around LA always sucked since I have been around.
