I look in several times a day. There was a terrible storm yesterday. The wind was whipping, and the nest was swinging wildly. Then there was a blizzard. It looks like they had 7 or 8 inches of snow. It looks like it's still snowing a little bit. I'm amazed that any of them survive.
I like to see the adults feed the chicks. One of the eggs hatched later than the other two. One of the earlier hatchlings seems to get more than his share. I'm sitting here shouting, "Give the little one some!"![]()
I love watching birds specially live streams, this is the first time I've heard about the Big Bear Bald Eagle.
I will give this a watch.
I have done the same thing; hollering at the parent to drop a piece of the spoils into the little guys mouth. But It seems there is always one little one that doesn't get a piece of the dead squirrel or mouse.
