Believing in ghosts is a common phenomenon found across cultures, often rooted in the human need for comfort or explanations for the unknown. Psychologically, it can be influenced by factors like pattern-seeking, or pareidolia, where the brain interprets ambiguous stimuli as faces or figures.

From a spiritual and cultural perspective, many religions and traditions have beliefs about spirits and the afterlife.

In the year 2000 we visited Tasmania ,which had a very cruel past due to it being a convict settlement in the early years of Australia …..copied this …but to save me writing it

****Port Arthur is Australia’s largest and most intact convict settlement, forming a key part of the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Australian Convict Sites.

We did the night time ghost tour and it was creepy to say the least …..

https://portarthur.org.au/?gad_sour...MIu-ykmteWkQMVzdQWBR0AoTYkEAAYASAAEgLLQPD_BwE

there’s is a old church that was burned out in a bush fire ( I believe it may have been rebuilt and was burned in bushfires again ( during the Convict settlement)
it was a very cruel and most prisoners were driven mad of were killed by torture for crimes like stealing food to free their families .

The majority of convicts at Port Arthur were from England, Wales, and Ireland.

Anyway the church was originally 2 stories , but due to the bushfires burning it it had no interior of roof , however many identified a woman standing in one of the upper floors window openings ( where there was no floors ~ or windows ) Visitors also noted ghosts in the torture … and mental dungeons, where the insane were shackled naked to metal beds ( it snows in parts of Tasmania in winter , so it’s very cold in winter )

the tour guides didn’t tell us anything about the noted ghosts but took details of any sightings that are kept secret 🤐 from the public

The area in Tasmania is called Port Arthur .

The add to the sadness of the area a crazy man decided to kill many visitors …in 1996 men women and children , some of whom lived in the country town I live in .

copied this ….

The Port Arthur massacre was a mass shooting that occurred on 28 April 1996 at Port Arthur, a tourist town in the Australian state of Tasmania. The perpetrator, Martin Bryant, killed 35 people and wounded 23 others, the deadliest massacre in modern Australian history.

So I’ve got no doubt there are many more ghost sightings after this happened

This lead to the banning of guns …..in Australian homes , unless you had a good reason to have one like being a farmer ..it’s still in force and the ban will never be lifted ….so next no homes have guns in Australia 🇦🇺
