Gen Z Said to Be Too Immature for Workforce

Another 25 per cent even brought their parents to interviews, while many others had their parents submit job applications and write resumes for them.
Now... this is a little crazy.

Managers also placed value on real-world experience, either through internships or jobs and, to a lesser degree, on having an appropriate social media presence, and avoiding political discussions.

"Recent graduates starting their first job should demonstrate professionalism, not by conforming to outdated norms, but by being respectful and committed to their work," Nguyen said.
But I agree with their frustration on this. You can't be expected to have real job experience if you're looking for your first job. I also never understood why an employer would care about what you're posting on social media. I get that they think it reflects badly on them, but does anyone actually care about that? I don't think so. Not unless they're being racist, homophobic, etc.

Anyway, it seems that Gen Z just needs to try harder to meet the bare minimum. This article makes it seem like employers would be over-the-moon with just that. They don't even need to excel. They just need to clock in every day.

I don't make my Facebook profile public. Only the front page is and it just has pictures of my family.

I don't even have social media. Lol
Some people don't. I can't really blame them. Well, this close friend is paranoid about privacy so he doesn't use it or want his face on it.
