Donating

All the time. I have donated boxes of books to the library, clothes and many other items to different charities, food to food banks, money to various organizations, and baked goods to bake sales.

Good on you!

I made donations to Ken on "Seniors only club". Do you have a donation "Place" here?

I donate pretty often. I’m trying to clear out things I don’t use or no longer want, clothes, household things, books, so many things. I also donate to support good causes. It’s a responsibility, I think.

Awesome! It's better than taking the items to your local recycling place.

Nice 🥰

I never throw anything that anyone could use in the trash. I prefer to donate to charities, specially those that mean something to me, but if push comes to shove, I'll set it on the curb and Freecycle it. And when I can afford to do so, I buy a little extra stuff at the grocery store and put it in the free box outside the "Free Meal" (that's what everyone in Flagstaff called the Family Food Center), as there is something similar just about everywhere. Because after I fell and couldn't work anymore, they were there for me.

The closest thing to "stuff" I donate is empty pop bottles with a deposit on them for return. I don't buy the stuff any more, but a lot piled up during the Covid times, and I still have one large garbage bag left. None of these had sugared stuff in 'em, and mainly just soda water in the most recent ones.

These have gone to high school band funding drives, Scouts, whomever.

But I do give cash to a local food bank and a rescue mission.
