Corporations Home Depot, McDonald's Others Failing.

Hmmm... He is the richest man in the world. He could save those businesses and make every penny back in no time at all. Besides, if it wasn't for him and his RepubliCon friends the economy wouldn't be in a downturn.

I haven't seen it here yet. Alaska tends to trail the rest of the country on these things by a year or so. Lowe's and Home Depot still seem to be quite busy and construction is still going pretty strong. The Democrats have found the key to attacking Trump now. The shutdown put the brakes on the economy just as it was getting going in recovery from the previous years. The shutdown took 1% to 1 1/2% from GDP growth and added millions to delayed government projects. It appears the Democrat leadership is willing to destroy the country to get to Trump, so expect them to do the same again in January when the CR expires. They believe they can rebuild the nation in a Lenin-style remake. We'll see what happens, but it is so sad that patriotism in any form has gone from the old Democratic Party.

I think we were already on a bad course, but 2015-2016 saw a lot of pumping and thumping to raise minimum wage levels and an insistence that a high schooler McDonald's job should provide "a living wage" for a family. Every indication said that this would lead to spiraling inflation as it rippled through the economy, but fools shouted the warnings down. Soon state-by-state action to that effect dragged us right into this pit of despair at a faster pace.

I find it impossible to believe the politicians involved are merely dupes of the WEF and NGOs behind this crap. I see them as the active tentacles of the beast, a small power elite bent on establishing a neofeudal system where the enslaved masses live under the thumb of something basically indistinguishable from Soviet Communism at its worst.

Getting there means gutting the middle class, most positive institutions in our society, and beating down the working class while setting the poverty class allied with brainwashed youth upon them. Struggle, strife, and austerity being the desired end "steady state" nobody can climb out of, to be ruled over by nobility and monarchs.

I'd seen this, but it feels like some AI-generated thing reading a script to me. Not that the content can be discarded and ignored, but do we think this is really genuine?
This is definitely AI, and the picture of Elon Musk is AI generated as well. Anyone who has ever listened to Elon speak knows that he stops, stutters, and has a lot of trouble just getting sentences out, because he is autistic and it is hard for him to express himself. This video looks like just what you said, @Jacob Petersheim , an AI version of Musk with a script that someone has read.

I don’t know how McDonalds is doing, but we go to Lowe’s and Home Depot when Bobby needs parts for some project, and they seem to be doing just fine, so I am skeptical about the video content also. Here in Huntsville, everything seems to be going the same as usual, with some businesses closing and new ones opening up, like always.

Home Depot nationwide seems to be managed better than Lowe's. One of my sons dealt with Lowe's at a professional level ad he said the management is terrible and always want the cheapest even if it doesn't satisfy the customers or the employees. Lowe's here has started requiring scanning of an ID to get the veteran's discount, so I now use Home Depot who is satisfied with just showing an ID.

Bobby has not had any problems with Lowe’s for the Veterans discount, and once you set it up, it is pretty automatic. It took him longer to get it set up with Home Depot, but now that one is working fine for him, too.
The thing I like about Lowe’s is that they will mark old plants down and sell them really cheap, where Home Depot either gets full price or throws them in the garbage.

I'm not sure but I do think the message is real,it was on major news, but that was too long so I suggested just listen to first few minutes.

Axel, that's not all the facts, so be liberal but use common sense. I like debates, I learn from some of them.
Rich people give the rest of us job's. Like all of us there are good rich and bad rich. I don't know what Elon is.

The economy has been going down for past few years, long before Trump got elected.
American factory jobs started dwindling 30 or more years ago.
I worked at GM Assembly in Lakewood, decades ago, soon after robots were doing most of our jobs.My best friend since 12 retired from there after 30 years.

I'll see if I can find someone else speaking about it. I go hope it's fake news.
